[Case in Point]

Buying a new phone, especially one like the Evo, seems like a bit of an indulgence when I've been worrying about my finances. However, this morning, I received some additional confirmation that I'm doing the right thing. As I lay in bed sleeping blissfully, the thought occurs to me that I've been comfortably asleep too long for having finally zonked out at 2 a.m. and having my alarm set for 9 a.m.... And sure enough, I rolled over in a slight panic and saw that my phone read 10 a.m., and the alarm clock had frozen in the midst of trying to ring... again... and just like a lot of phone calls I receive. After a curse word or two, I lept up, glad I had still woken up an hour before I needed to leave, and went into double time.

I was also further heartened when I saw the shipment notification in my email. Here's hoping it gets here fast, even though I opted for economy shipping (free). I've gotten packages in two days before with that choice... but not often.

And now, I'm off to finish getting ready for work. I wonder if my students will notice that I'm winging it today having not had my usual morning prep time...

Edit: According to the tracking info, it should be here Thursday. Sigh... Sooner than it could've been, but I wish it were here now! It's like my phone knows I'm getting rid of it, so it's acting out worse than ever to be spiteful.
