Rather than update or plan or anything else this break, I made a very conscious decision to read and watch television. With my stress levels climbing higher and higher over the past year, not to mention having to teach fewer hours this semester with less pay, I knew I needed to remember how to relax, so I did. And it was good.
Classes are back in session today, so the break is over. However, I'm making a conscious effort beginning today to divide my time more wisely--some meditation time, some writing time, some reading time, and then work time. Due to the nature of my job, where 90% of the work is done from home via grading and lesson planning, the temptation is to do nothing but work or worry about work. Not healthy.
I'm feeling a little migrainey right now, so I'm actually having trouble translating my thoughts to words, so I'm going to stop here and clarify my thoughts at a later date. For now: lunch, make-up, then off to work!
